About seCO₂ia & its founder

seCO₂ia is a carbon-footprint app built by SAW CONCEPT, a company founded in 2025 by William Noël. It lets anyone measure the CO₂ impact of their everyday shopping by scanning receipts and product barcodes, then turns it into clear insights and eco-badges. The conviction behind it is simple: used well, technology is a lever for climate awareness — not its enemy.

Who is behind SAW CONCEPT?

In 1996, at 28, I started my first business in IT fleet management. I soon co-founded a consulting firm specialized in information and document management, before focusing on quality and environmental standards for highly regulated industries — fields where rigor is never optional. Over more than 15 years, I have implemented quality management systems in all kinds of organizations, from local businesses to international groups.

As a paraglider pilot, I learned to read the sky. That passion made me attentive to weather, and then to climate — local and global alike. Technology, meanwhile, never left my side. One question kept nagging at me, almost like a dilemma: can you truly feel environmentally responsible while using a smartphone and artificial intelligence?

After a long stretch of research, I reached a conviction: it's a false dilemma. Used well, technology isn't the enemy of ecology — it can be its lever. That idea gave rise, in 2025, to SAW CONCEPT: shifting mindsets and climate awareness where it matters most — in everyday life. Because our single biggest source of carbon footprint isn't an abstract concept: it's our shopping. Today I'm no longer on my own: a team driven by the climate cause works alongside me.

seCO₂ia was born from that conviction.
